I think I need to add "You might be a roadie if you feel the need to resist having fun (indulging) on a bike ride."<br /><br />(The ironic part about the roadie list is that my mountain biking friends and I are guilty of most of the items on the list)Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00622082658232225351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6845005882900867258.post-1882231982954173352009-06-30T14:13:16.784-06:002009-06-30T14:13:16.784-06:00Well put, Junkie. If you spend too much time just enjoying the ride and not enough time training, racing won't be much fun (assuming racing is what you want to do). If you spend too much time training, riding won't be fun anymore and you'll burn out. But if you get the mix right, you'll kick butt with a smile on your face.<br /><br />Anyways, thanks for dragging me up there last night, Jared, even though I'm pretty sure you tried to kill me in Big Cottonwood.Faceless Ghosthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12470490022885019213noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6845005882900867258.post-48424715730150404402009-06-30T10:08:15.631-06:002009-06-30T10:08:15.631-06:00It's all a matter of what you want to get from...It's all a matter of what you want to get from the ride. Is it about enjoying the ride? Or is it about enjoying putting the hurt to the people you ride with? Too bad it can't be both.Ski Bike Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12295969126174565599noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6845005882900867258.post-86606765763760800722009-06-30T08:09:51.019-06:002009-06-30T08:09:51.019-06:00Jared, I totally understand your need for indulgen...Jared, I totally understand your need for indulgence, when my family is out of town I tend to pummel myself by indulging for hour after hour, compromising sleep, eating poorly and then doing it again. Great insight!Lukehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11527089607362270019noreply@blogger.com
